Connect SEO Booster Credits in WordPress

This guide connects one WordPress site to SEO Booster Credits. If you prefer WordPress Connectors instead, choose that provider on the same screen; the steps below are for Credits only.

AI provider selection in SEO Booster Settings

Before you start

A Credits account at seoboosterpro.com/credits/ (magic-link sign-in).
At least one API key from the portal API keys tab.
Your WordPress host can reach https://api.seoboosterpro.com over HTTPS.

New portal accounts receive 20 welcome credits on first verified sign-in. Unused welcome credits expire after 90 days of inactivity; purchased credits do not expire.

Step 1: Choose SEO Booster Credits

Open SEO Booster → Settings → AI / LLM.
Under AI provider, select SEO Booster Credits.
Save if the page asks you to.

Core features (GSC, analysis, autolink, weekly email) still work if you leave the provider on Disabled. You only need Credits when you want AI generation.

Step 2: Connect email and API key

When Credits is selected, Settings shows a short checklist:

Open seoboosterpro.com/credits/ and sign in.
Create (or copy) an API key on the API keys tab.
In WordPress, enter the same email as the portal account and paste the API key.
Click Connect.

The email field usually prefills your Freemius account email when available, otherwise the site admin_email. Change it if your Credits portal uses a different address.

Your Pro license email on seoboosterpro.com/account/ can differ from the Credits portal email. Only the Credits email must match for connect.

After a successful connect, Settings shows Connected, a key prefix, and a balance.

If connect fails:

Confirm the email matches the portal account exactly.
Confirm the key was copied in full and is not revoked.
Confirm the host can reach api.seoboosterpro.com (firewall / outbound HTTPS).

Step 3: Confirm balance

Use Refresh on the balance card (or reopen Settings) to pull the latest balance from the API.

When Credits is active, the Dashboard also shows a balance card with a link back to Settings.

Step 4: Buy more credits when needed

From Settings, use the portal link (or the site header Credits link) to open seoboosterpro.com/credits/, buy a pack, then return to WordPress and click Refresh.

Per-key budgets

If you set a credit budget on an API key, WordPress shows the remaining allocation for that key, not your full account wallet. Unlimited keys share the full account balance.

Image analysis on private sites

Credits image analysis must be able to load the image from its public URL. If a local, staging, or firewalled site blocks that URL, use a vision-capable WordPress Connector or make the image temporarily reachable before trying again.

Disconnect

Use Disconnect in Settings to remove the stored API key from this site. Revoke the key in the portal if that site should never spend credits again.
