How Often Does the Google Search Console (GSC) Data Refresh in SEO Booster?
SEO Booster automatically fetches fresh data from your connected Google Search Console account once every 24 hours. This schedule is in line with how often the GSC API itself updates. New data is only made available by Google once per day, so fetching more frequently wouldn’t provide any additional value.
Automatic vs. Manual Data Refresh
By default, SEO Booster handles all data updates automatically using the WordPress Cron system. However, if your website has trouble running scheduled tasks (common on some hosting setups), we’ve added a manual refresh option as well. You can find it under the plugin’s Settings page, in the Tools section.
For most users, the automatic process works reliably, and there’s no need to manually refresh data.
What Data Is Collected?
On the initial install, SEO Booster retrieves up to 90 days of historical data from your GSC account. (Why this 90-day limit?) This first sync may take a bit longer as it loads a larger dataset. After that, the plugin only fetches new data since the last recorded update, which makes the ongoing sync process much faster and less demanding on your server.
Can I Customize the Update Frequency?
At this time, the update frequency is fixed to once daily, as this aligns with Google’s own update cycle. Customizing it would not provide any practical benefit since Google doesn’t release new data more frequently than that.
