Weekly digest

SEO progress in your inbox

What is it?

A GSC-backed email summary sent from your site each week with trends, new keywords, and open SEO Possibilities.

Who is it for?

Teams and clients who want a scan-friendly digest without logging into WordPress every day.

What does it solve?

Dashboard fatigue. Review impressions, top issues, and keyword wins in minutes, then forward to stakeholders.

Key benefits of weekly email reports

Save time

Important metrics arrive in your inbox so you can focus on fixes instead of opening dashboards every day.

Stay informed

Week-over-week deltas highlight direction before rankings shift dramatically.

Actionable links

Each section links back to the dashboard, SEO Possibilities, or 404 report for deeper work.

What each weekly email contains

Summary section

Opens with a bullet list comparing the latest 7 days to the previous 7 days (when GSC history exists).

  • Impressions: absolute and percentage change
  • Clicks: absolute and percentage change
  • Average position: improved or worsened vs prior week
  • CTR: percentage point change
  • Count of new keywords discovered in the past 7 days
  • Count of open SEO Possibilities with severity breakdown (critical, error, high when present)

SEO Booster → Settings → Email & Reports → enable Weekly Email Reports and enter recipient(s). Comma-separated addresses are supported.

  2. Send a test

Use Send Email Now on the settings page to preview the latest template without waiting for the cron schedule.

  3. Act on the summary

Use week-over-week deltas to decide whether to refresh content, fix Possibilities, or investigate new keywords in GSC Overview.

  4. Pro, fix 404s from the email

When the 404 section appears, open 404 & Redirects for referrers and hit counts, then fix URLs in WordPress or your redirect plugin.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the Weekly Email Reports?

Summary metrics (7-day vs prior 7-day), new keyword count, top SEO Possibilities, a New Keywords section with up to three examples, and Pro 404 content when monitoring is on. Data reflects imported GSC data, not full site analytics.

Where do I enable weekly email?

SEO Booster → Settings → Email & Reports. Toggle Weekly Email Reports, set recipients, and optionally send immediately with Send Email Now.

How often are emails sent?

Weekly on the plugin cron schedule. The settings page shows the next scheduled report date when enabled.

Can I customize which sections appear?

Section content is fixed: there is no per-section toggle. You can enable or disable the entire email and change recipients.

Does the email include cannibalization or ranking anomaly tables?

The current weekly template focuses on summary metrics, SEO Possibilities, new keywords, and Pro 404s. For cannibalization, use GSC Overview row indicators or SEO Possibilities GSC checks.

Are 404 alerts included for everyone?

The 404 sections are Pro-only and require 404 monitoring to be enabled in Settings. Free weekly email includes the other sections.
